The Smog Of Passion Poem by Yiling Ding

The Smog Of Passion

It is difficult to breathe,
the air is too thick
with the heady smog of
fearful anticipation.
Every breath
seems to fill the lungs
with too much intensity
to let go.
She sighs, and sighs
because her chest is
too heavy with
the burden of love.
Soon, the passion will
break open from within
her skeletal frame.

Her release
will destroy her.
