The Unexplored Temple Poem by Yiling Ding

The Unexplored Temple

Her body is the
Unexplored Temple,
hidden in the
sanctity of trees.
Before Her lies
the icy marble ground
where you'll kneel
and prove your
virgin loyalty.
And then
She'll let the proven
step onto
Her open halls of
tall magnificence.
And there you may then
kiss Her granite bust,
caress Her ground
with gentle loving steps.
If still you yearn to
see the Goddess more,
abandon
all your worldly lovers now,
while still she feels
some tenderness and love,
cast away your sick mortality.
And then if you have
proven beyond doubt
your faith, devotion
and your purity,
perhaps the Goddess,
celestial though She be,
will open up Her
Never-Opened Doors,
and then you'll see Her,
all regality,
and She shall share
all of this world
with thee.
