The Soldier Endless Sleep Poem by Richard O'Connor

The Soldier Endless Sleep

Pine my medals appone my chest
Tell my mother i dont my best
Box me me up and ship me home
So i may rest my weary bones
Let me dream the endless dream
So i may dream the pace i have not seen
Remember me once a year
So you know why i might be here
I forte my fight
To do what was right
For the pace you might
Have tonight.
