I've walked the fields of battle.
I've heard the clarion call,
seen men slaughtered like cattle,
watched friend and brother fall.
I do not take it lightly,
this vile and rank discourse.
I understand, in victory,
how friends weep in remorse.
We turn out of this agony
to never be the same.
Some with bodies broken,
while other's souls are lame,
And through this horrid passage,
we, one consolation keep.
You walk in peace and freedom friend.
Our blood is not sold cheap.

And through this horrid passage, we, one consolation keep. You walk in peace and freedom friend. Our blood is not sold cheap. An excellent poem echoing soldiering in its entirety. This poem really moved me Keep it up.10/10 Col Muhammad Khalid Khan
