The Solitary Heart Poem by Thomas Northx

The Solitary Heart

Rating: 5.0

The best mistake I ever made,
was walking thru your door.
Anxieties, and butterflies,
the pangs of love once more
Awakening the dormant state,
of hopes and dreams in store,
emotions I had given up,
or desired, since you.

Everything about you,
was perfect just for me,
even all the wrong things,
I can only see,
I felt our love could conquer,
and I could take a knee,
but indeed could not.

My heart was tied in knots, '
unlike I've ever felt,
or'll ever feel again,
putting everything on love,
A gamble I can't win.
my past conquers..

I want you,
but I can't keep you.
I can't lie to love,
I wanted to believe,
mi amor y cielo.
