The Song Of The Seeker Poem by Mary Champion

The Song Of The Seeker

Searching for the sunshine,
looking for the light,
I found a lot of answers
and some of them are right

It's lonely on the outside;
it's stifling when you're in.
While we are so divided
there is no way to win.

Reaching for the reasons,
seeking to make sense,
I found some explanations
but some will cause offence.

Looking for the answers,
looking for the cause,
working out the rationale
that underpins the laws.

It's lonely on the outside;
it's stifling when you're in.
While we are so divided
there is no way to win.
