The Sound He Found: a Tribute To Asa Krogtoft Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Sound He Found: a Tribute To Asa Krogtoft

From Vesterålen's northern shore,
A young voice rose to ask for more.
The eighteen-year-old found the sound,
Where 'Graveyard Paradise' was found.

A teenage idol, bright and bold,
With stories of the world untold.
He walked the path of rock and song,
Where heavy hearts and hopes belong.

Through 1-2-6 and Taboo's light,
He chased the stars into the night.
From 'Rekkene' to Utopia's dream,
He sailed against the steady stream.

When Popol Ace called out his name,
He stepped beyond the pop-star fame.
A voice for progress, deep and wide,
With nothing left for him to hide.

But life was more than stage and gear,
More than the sounds the people hear.
He chose to learn, to work, to grow,
With secrets only he would know.

He saw the world in shades of gray,
And sang of wars that came his way.
A thoughtful mind, a gentle soul,
Who kept his spirit brave and whole.

Asbjørn remains, the man behind,
With melody and peace of mind.
From northern winds to studio light,
He kept his song burning bright.
