The Sounds On The Bus Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

The Sounds On The Bus

Rating: 5.0

Some kid watching an old TV show on his laptop

The bus driver announces some rules and then we go

Noises from the bus hitting the road with a clickety clack

Some mother and kid arguing about a phone because she needed it back

Someone different talking to a friend on the phone a little loud

The door of the bathroom opening and closing now

Someone opens their soda bottle with a fizz

A Truck moving a head of the bus with a hum of a hiss

The kid is out of tissue and the Dad is now talking

Someone has a sniffle and their nose is snorting

Then I hear a cough or two

A Baby starts to cry boo-hoo

More coughing and the snap of a water lid on a water container

And now the baby is really crying what a complainer

Someones phone making the same melody over and over

Another snap of a water container cover

With all these noises going on-on the bus

I don't think I'm going to nap to much
