The Sprinting Time.... Poem by Daniel Paul

The Sprinting Time....

Time feeds on time and life breeds life..
Tik tok tik tok, the wall clock has its fingers traveling around an infinite loop..
In middle school, a young boy was taught that ten is to four and one to seven...
He's now matured and every night he sets the alarm to sound at six....

Time flies and life evolves
Toddler steps are now a steady gait..
That little girl who was taught to calculate her steps, catwalks the run way with perfection...
And she is paid for every hour at the model's house....

Time can't be buried and life can't be iced; for the two are mysteries...
The young boy who was fond of counting book pages, passed the bar exams and he now practices the law in the big city....
And the school bully, become a jailer and his tight face keeps the cells in order...

Time springs age and life paints legacies..
Complaints are to Low life fellows and flex to the well off, it all goes down the drain and the wrickle-faced man still goes to the barber shop to have his beard shaped....
Grand kids are glad to have buried naivety and aged with time to become grannies....

Time is a song and life can't stop dancing to it.....
