A dark veil covered the sky,
And billions of your kind captured my eye.
Some are flickering and some are just still.
And some are damaged beginning to heal.
I have always wondered why you're so away.
A celestial body—perfect in every way.
But I've always wanted to be close to you.
So I look through a telescope, magnifying my view.
The perfect celestial body shining from afar.
As I look at you closely I noticed a scar.
But imperfections are normal.
You are still a star.
Thinking about this made me wonder.
Aren't we like the stars? Just way more younger..
But you can shine with those flaws.
You just need to be braver.
I might just be a star.. and you might be one too :))
The star with a scar— that's me and you.
