The Stars That Twinkle In My Lifetime Poem by Mercy Mg

The Stars That Twinkle In My Lifetime

Once a upon a time in my journey
I was attracted to the stars in the galaxy
They made me create a story
That made me to be me.

In this voyage to nowhere, I discover
Stars twinkle like an undercover
Their shimmering light is blurry
A selfish me has overlooked their way.

I hated the star that flickered in my heart
My heartbeat throve abnormally
Anxiousness made me unhappy
It made me desire for a fantasy

I despised the one that shimmered in the distance
It shines upon me but later made a disappearance
it only came to lighten me from afar
It disguised to a conceited great star.

Then a big star shone to entice me
To the alps I climbed, and I did not foresee
That what I could see may not seem to be
Its sparkled made me want to break free.

In my solitary I refused to see
Starry nights disgusted me
A night without them
seemed just okay

But the heaven turned gray
and I felt empty.
Living in hatred made me
live astray.

To the starry night I once again looked up
Then a brilliant star astounded me, so I picked up
It brightly changes me, so I hold tight
It always amazes me and warms my night

My heart has changed
And I feel strange
What I have chosen sometimes turns dim
but never I want to feel hate again.

Then, I begun to realize
All these stars are splendor in my eyes
They uniquely shone for my unraveling strife
their gleaming light made my present bright!

To all the stars that once gleamed my way
Thank you for making me find my destiny
You all possessed exceptional beauty
I'm blissful enough to see you shine brightly

Now, looking up the stars make me happy
What a silly Am I that I did not see its glory
Nevertheless, it is a righteous destiny
to only see the one that transform my way.

In my entire lifetime, I will forever plea
for this simple star not to flee
I will endlessly pray
for its immortality.
