The Stars Weeping Poem by Jessie Taylor

The Stars Weeping

The moon smiled looking down upon the earth,
Why are you making the stars weep? Forever may there be peace, recreating a new birth;
While everyone is resting fast asleep. Gangs and mad men through the streets roam at night,
Leaving men, women and children dead in defeat. Not sparing mother and child, looks like
The people of the earth will never become reconciled Each night the bright moon continues to shine
But the stars continue to weep. So many lives are taken, you can hardly sleep;
Time goes on the same, the stars continue to weep. May the gangs and mad men get justice
So the stars will never again weep.
