'The Stones In The Middle Of The Road' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'The Stones In The Middle Of The Road'

'Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both'
(The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost)

I won't be standing on the bridge,
Waiting for something to happen.
And I wont be sitting on the edge,
Hoping a miracle from the heavens.
I have miles away to walk,
and passing through
The stones in the middle of the road.

There wont be bright in the darkness,
No peace in the stormy sea,
I'm alone but I guess,
You could be with me - my dear.
Together, we could bear the cold
and passing through
The stones in the middle of the road.

The night seems to last too long,
And the morning seems so far,
Sometimes I'm so tired
Too many things I have to leave behind.
Step by step, I will pass through
The stones in the middle of the road.

I wont look to the past again,
I wont bring back that old pain,
To see my life in a tight rope.
I will keep following my star
Maybe I will be there, wherever you are...
'cause, together, we could be forever
side by side - Living an ever-lasting love,
While we pass through
The stones in the middle of the road.
