The Storm Poem by Ben Danford

The Storm

Rating: 5.0

The storm.
Down the path of life road,
Heading toward the belonging way,
Hoping for the better future,
Life with full of laughter,
Suddenly the cold wind blow,
In a deep silence the agony is heard,
The storm is here.

In the middle of the quiet night,
The captain is drowning in a worse nightmare,
The boat is flooded and the hope is lost,
Tired to hold on and ready let go,
Soul gives in the breath is taken away,
The emptiness feels my guardians,
Storm! Tears and pains you cause,
Only memory you left in their hearts.

The precaution I expected!
Thunder and lightning!
But you took me for a fool,
Ohh! Storm where is your dignity?
I wish I were a weatherman,
I would have warn them,
But you didn't give me a chance.

Now rains of tears are showering them,
The farm six feet under waits to be a home,
Seeds of loneliness and emptiness are grown,
Seedlings of memory are kept,
Plants of hope are cultivated,
Hoping to see me of old self,
Down to the everlasting roads of joy,
In the street of heavens,

No more storm! No more dark,
No more!
