'The Stormy' Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

'The Stormy'

A stormy came in the middle of the night
And brought me all the things
that I had tried to forget.
All my sorrows, pain, nightmares and fears,
So strong through the wind,
Beated again and again against my window.
The night was so dark,
Around me books, pens and unfinished poems
While I was flooded in the loneliness.
A fire was putting out inside me
While I was switching the lights off.
The stormy lasted all the night -
But I slept quietly
and my thoughts about you
were spilling out from me.
When the dawn came
I felt my heart to blossom
like flowers in a spring.
Finally the stormy was gone
and took away your love from me.
