By Mohammad A. Yousef
In the heart of ancient lands,
where the sun dips low,
and the shadows stretch long,
there lies a tale, woven in silk and sorrow,
the story of Zulaykha and Yusuf,
two souls caught in the tapestry of fate.
Zulaykha,
a rose in a garden of thorns,
her heart a blazing fire,
an ember trapped in the confines of duty,
her eyes like pools of midnight,
reflecting dreams unspoken,
longings buried beneath the weight of expectation.
Yusuf,
a vision of grace,
his beauty, a whisper of the divine,
with every step, the earth bowed
to the melody of his presence,
a boy gifted with dreams,
and the power to interpret the silent language of the stars.
In the palace of glory,
Zulaykha's heart danced,
each glance from Yusuf,
a spark igniting the furnace of desire,
while the world around her
spun in a dizzying waltz,
a symphony of temptation and restraint.
Within the marble walls,
where whispers echoed like secrets,
Zulaykha's love blossomed,
a forbidden flower in the garden of propriety,
and in the stillness of the night,
her heart called to him,
a siren's song laced with yearning.
But Yusuf,
bound by the chains of honor,
looked beyond the veil of beauty,
saw not just a woman but a storm,
a tempest of tangled fates,
and in every encounter,
he felt the weight of the world,
a heart that beat not just for love,
but for righteousness.
Yet Zulaykha,
defying the universe,
sought him in her dreams,
her desires a river,
flowing beyond the banks of convention,
and in her heart,
the flame grew,
an inferno that threatened to consume her.
Oh, the trials!
The heartache of a love unclaimed,
the betrayal of longing,
the clash of souls in the arena of society,
as her heart raced and her spirit soared,
she wove a tapestry of passion,
threaded with shadows,
each moment a brushstroke of madness.
In the stillness,
the night bore witness,
to the dance of fate,
as Zulaykha, bold as the wind,
reached for the unattainable,
her soul a canvas,
brimming with colors of desire and remorse.
But Yusuf,
the steadfast star,
turned away from the abyss,
his heart anchored in faith,
for he knew the price of love,
the chains it could forge,
and the depths it could plummet.
In the end,
the winds of destiny howled,
as Zulaykha, in her desperation,
faced the wrath of the world,
a tempest unleashed,
her love a double-edged sword,
cutting through the fabric of her existence.
And yet,
as the tale unfolds,
the heart is not a prisoner,
but a wildflower,
growing in the cracks of despair,
as Zulaykha learns to weave her own story,
finding strength in vulnerability,
a phoenix rising from the ashes of unfulfilled dreams.
For in the tapestry of life,
Yusuf would find his path,
and Zulaykha, her redemption,
the echoes of their tale,
a reminder that love,
in all its forms,
is a journey,
not just a destination,
and even amidst the shadows,
light will always find a way to break through.
