The Stray - Poem by Kenny Honeycutt

I am a stray
I walk this world alone
To seek happiness
But seem to never to find it

With the world in destruction
I found a light of hope
Shining in the dark
Its what I'm been seeking my whole life

So now I walk towards it
Drawing me near like a Ratt to cheese
Hands reaching far and wide to grab it
It's beautiful
it's what I'm seeking

It's a face
She is beautiful
She is an angel
She is a Goddess

I grab for her but never seem to get a hold
It's like grabbing a ghost
She pulls away easily
So I chase

I will chase forever
Never knowing always hoping
To find happiness
To have her

I will never give up I will chase forever
Until I do I will be a stray
So I chase on but always a step away
I am the Stray
