The Summer Full Moon Poem by Ravi Upadhye

A bright moonlit night beckons me to come out of the sultry room ,
I step out willingly
To feel the caress of moonrays & the joy,
Accentuated by the gentle warm breeze of a summer night .
The fragrance of nightqueen blooming nearby Mesmerises me and I look up at the moon
He too smiles and relishes the solitude, the fragrance and the warmth
He joins me in the celebration..... Seemingly, the distance seems to have molten..
I murmur 'चांद धरती पर उतर आया'...
The moon indeed has descended on the earth
The sombre nature! ! ! ! !
The silent banyan tree
It's swaying branches
And...yes...my heart!
Humms and leaps with joy
It's summertime.
Intoxicating summertime!
