The Sun Poem by Cherish Brooks

The Sun

I wonder how lonely it is too be the sun
The only light in a world filled with nothing but darkness
The weight of waves of green life itself
All resting on your fiery shoulders
No cool night breeze on your burning face, no rest
Only burning, only being seen as violent
Eternally suffering all for someone too have a hint of warmth

I would turn to ash if one were to touch me to,
If i were her

What anger I feel on her behalf
What sorrow she looks back at me with
