The sun will rise
just as it always does
it will get out of the far eastern sea
and shine its light
on you and me
on us
the night is almost over
now just look at
natures most beautiful promise
a promise that happens
everyday
i want to be there with you
and you alone
the night is almost over
both in life
and in poetry
and the sunrise is coming
why wont you come to me?
and end this night
cause this is natural
the sun rises without trying
but this is not the sun
and we both have to try
