Beneath the open sky,
the wind embraced a weary traveller;
night held his tired body
and softened his restless mind.
At dawn, birds whispered
their music into his ears,
and the sun appeared—
as if waiting for him to rise.
He looked at the sun;
the sun looked back.
It seemed to say,
"I have my time,
and I spend it giving light."
The traveller bowed,
then rose and walked—
toward his goal,
toward his work,
toward his destiny.
Different lands may keep different clocks,
but the sun never wastes its time.
So I shall rise,
work, and shine.
