The Sweetest Emotions (Sonnet #159) Poem by Tina Baaklini

The Sweetest Emotions (Sonnet #159)

My heart chooses you every day, sweet love,
Orphan is my heart without yours within,
I need you as spring needs green tree, white doves,
In your tender soul I found my heaven.

My hand you held through the desert of time,
My soul you kept warm on cold, frozen nights,
"I'll never let you go, " you said, "you are mine."
Oh, my heart is shivering—hold me tight.

We dwell in one heart and soul together,
A new chapter we write with devotion,
We share a love that will last forever,
You sow in me the sweetest emotions.

When you gaze at me, my face and heart smile
Worthwhile is love when we walk down the aisle.
