The System Is Falling Poem by Taylor McArthur

The System Is Falling

I feel like I’m stuck in a world full of hate and a world full of crime. Where parents go to work and kids have no time. Where we feed off of the internet instead of our books, where you’re only liked not for your personality but for your looks. We live in this world where people are mocked for not being straight wow isn't the system great. Where that kid cut herself because she wasn't pretty yea I bet your feeling pity, or that kid who hung himself because he was gay yeah I remember that day. Did you even say Hey? This is the world we live in and I’m ashamed to call it my home. Where kids are forced to roam. Where people feel like they don’t belong or where kids would rather die than be told another lie by those so-called friends and that so-called family. These words have spoken you must be joking. You must be too immature to feel what has been awoken. We grow up in this world thinking life is great but look around the systems falling and it’s already too late.
