The Tablecloth Poem by Leila Taghavi

The Tablecloth

The tablecloth on the ground
Gathered a big family together
Loaves of bread and bowls of broth
In front of the children
Who concealed their appetite
Before their ggandparents
Sitting at the top of the cloth
And a lamp illuminated
Spoons that took the way of mouth
Every other one
Eating was finished
Warmely and wordlessly
And individual folded away the long tablecloth
