The Tax Ax Poem by ronald meseck

The Tax Ax

We'll sing this song about money
The truth in it is not funny
As when the day is done
The tax ax has had its fun

We work all week we'll say
With mind and soul in fray
And when we get our pay
The tax ax has had its play

In this country far and wide
Is government on our side
Have those elected been sound and wise
Have they increased that tax ax in size

Should we all commence to rebel
To rid ourselves of that cartel
Against those who wheel that tax ax
Its time for action not to relax

Let us design all our signs
To protest walking picket lines
Hold them high to scream and cry
No more tax ax or we'll die
