The Teardropp Caused By Lies Poem by Summer Anderton

The Teardropp Caused By Lies

She listened to his excuses
She listened to his lies
One thing she didnt know was
she was in for a surprise

I'm sorry ill love you forever and more
It will never happen again
She was stupid and believed him
But they were happy then

The older they got the more violent he was
One hit then One punch
Im sorry he said
But this was all to much

We're over We're done
A kick and a toss and a slam of the door
he carelessly left her
as she laid on the floor

Shallow breaths and small little whimpers
She lays there no movement on the hospital bed
As the man that hurt her lies
To fill the nurses heads

Her eyes fluttered open as the footstep grew stronger
There at the door was the man
That hurt her more
Than anyone living possibly can

Her heart fluttered and shook
as he grew nearer and nearer
The light above her
Grew clearer and clearer

all of a sudden her body went limp
And the lack of the constant beeping said
That the girl with broken bones and bruises
was now apart of the dead

Her family mourned and
her family cried
But the note in her jeans said
HE LIED
