The Tears Of Gethsemane (The Sacrificial Lily At Gethsemane) Poem by chize ryan ogunkah

The Tears Of Gethsemane (The Sacrificial Lily At Gethsemane)

Sorrowful Drops of painful passion
trickled down from the incarnation of righteousness
Unto the imperfections of mortality
to purge the vagrant errant soul.
A fate difficult to comprehend
From The hands that healed
And made alive
That could feed a horde with paltry victuals
And (eternally) quench the thirst of a parched soul
Facing death that's unmerited
In the grip of mere mortals
wont to fallibility
And cursed to a fortuitous fleeting destiny.
God, Sold for pittance
To enable man's admittance
Into the Holy of Holies
And to a glorious destination
