The Things, I Hide From, Myself Poem by Pamuditha Zen Anjana

The Things, I Hide From, Myself

I'm being frozen
by the bubbling fears
and the hissing emptiness

Like rubber balls
pushed into the water
they keep coming up
faster & stronger every time

I sense the threads of life
fluttering behind me
trying to cling to
any source filled with
the mysterious energy called hope

I count every moment passing
up until the very end
waiting to see the sun
like a blind man
craving to see the light
even for a single second
