The Thunder God Poem by Artesian Jones

The Thunder God

Ye gods, of ancient times who ruled above the land
who thundered their clarion cry across the broad sky
their every touch a tender and desperate attempt
at love or manipulation, their ordered minds remained unkept.
Through jealously or curse their actions were not theirs
While the race of men strive to be them, but they do not bare to hear
That the gods have long ago abandoned them, never making their reasons clear.
