The Time Is Now Poem by Chitalu Taizya simbeya

The Time Is Now

He is calling me,
yes he is, I can feel him tapping my shoulder.
He's warmth closer than yesterday
as his breath whistles in my ear,
with my ignorance I brush him off me
then realize it feels colder without him

Make me understand,
these battles in my head I can't stand.
Am not great but greater is you that is in me
But why do I despair
Maybe I neglect you, am I really your fruit
Do I drink from your waters?
Am I a channel, am I a pipe?
Will I fall off before am ripe?

I can't take this anymore
My knees kiss the floor
As I admit the feeling of guilt
It's my proposal
Let me in, let me into this body these people belong to
I can be the feet, so I can walk with you
It's a long walk but now I belong to you.
