The Tip Tap, Tippety Tap Poem by Karin Sode

The Tip Tap, Tippety Tap

The tip tap
Tippety tap
Patter, patter
It doesn't matter
Rain drops hitting the roof
Relentless sending a message
One message only
No nuance, no variation
Pack it in
Don't bother
Nothing is important
Most things are irrelevant
The world is grey.

Clouds and mist
The view blurred by water
Drops merging
Running in streams down the window pane
Tip tap
There is no map
No route
No destination
No plan

Patter, patter
It doesn't matter

Where are the colours?
Where is the depth?
Where is the definition?
Blurred grey
No edges
No matter.

Pat, pat, pat
Tip tap
Time for a nap.
