The Tragedy Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

The Tragedy

Rating: 5.0

Here
There
And Everywhere
You can hear
The tragedy
Of human misery.

Of men who fought bravely
People who voted in frenzy
In a democracy
That is flawed in destiny.

How men and women
Believed falsely
Peace to be achieved
Through differing ideology.

When me and you
Are just a mark
On a piece of ballot
Celebrated in parliaments
That most of us usually ignore.

How then we are to live?
In a never ending fantasy
That the latest branded car
And a private jet
Is what makes us great.

We look for tax exemption
We look for holidays in private beach
We want to buy our heaven
In a planet named Earth
Just a dot in an infinity.
