The Traveller Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

The Traveller

Rating: 5.0

I walked the streets
In a village town
Heard a din, across the streets
To where I found

A thousand voices all talking at once
A hundred legs dancing in fun

The wedding bells
Jingling under the sun
Merry voices all speaking at once
"Come, my friend! " Came a voice aloud
"It's my daughter's wedding, make a blessing" shouted he aloud

Happiness came in clouds that day
As we sang and danced
Till evening came draped in stars
That summer's day

As the bride and the groom
Left the hall
The Traveller blew his flute
Till all guests were gone

And as he returned to the lonely road
He prayed for those young souls

And the angels above
Blessed the children just wed

And the Traveller
Walked along the road
To another place
