The trenches
I grew up in the trenches
Though the abuses agonize
But its acceptance admonishes
Of the danger in my birthplace
Where I was born and broken
I was smashed and shattered
I became an embodiment of anguish
That I despise life itself
But death wasn't my friend either
Nature and mother nurture
A family bound with love
A house built with you
A life with just a smile
All of these are luxuries I could not afford
I was an orphan with parents
Blinded with eyes
And deaf with ears
Sadness has got my sanity off me
I was built in a house
Where its residents are called nonentities
A house where we feast disposed food
With all, we are shrewd
We are wretched but could afford the luxurious love, joy, and peace
I was born and raised in the building
Alluded to being a home
Where joy and happiness slipped into the air
As rich as Croesus
Yet peace and joy seems unaffordable
I was built in a trench
Where peace, love and happiness not only dominate but resides
