The Trips That Led To The Fall Poem by Christina Byrd

The Trips That Led To The Fall

Rating: 3.8

Brand new
A fresh face with a slight quiver
Nervous but with an air of confidence
So the journey began and still continues today
Friends found memories made laughs shared
A dance
A familiar face
Talk the whole night long
Next thing you know they're intertwined
Dancing like the music would never end
It all fell apart but no tears were shed
It was just a trip
Next you're skating through life
Bump into mystery
You get scared and are told to run away
Then you find a reason to smile
But the long miles rip you a part
Farewell to what could have been
A match made when you're feeling blue
Thought it could work but just blew away
You still wonder what if
But it was just a trip
Hot weather
Summertime a time for romance
Wasn't looking for anything
But it found you
And you talk all night and want to dance.
Its a beautiful mystery but you're not afraid.
You smile and know that this could be.
You get blue but are brought up and know there is no what ifs.
In life you may go through some trips but once you find love,
Let yourself fall
