The True Clout Of Nature Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

The True Clout Of Nature

The gloomy cloud stretched its wings
Reaching the limit of the limitless horizon
It mixed a sweet aroma in the icy air
The sweetness could be felt in the rain drizzle
The trees moved in concord flaunting a welcome dance
An invigorated spirit was divulged from each and every heart

Amidst such bliss were two contradicting hearts
I, buried in my own worries
And a small kid, with tears in her eyes
Tears pouring and pouring, faster than the rain
I saw a paper boat stuck in a marshy puddle
I could read my life in that particular vista

Was my fate similar? A question cropped up in my mind
I was totally engrossed in what was happening beside
With full trepidation four eyes were fixed as glue
Slowly the rain dropp cleared the path
The gentle breeze gave the needed push
The paper boat slowly glided to its destination

The kid started hopping with joy
I wiped off my tears and started smiling
My twinges faded with the breeze
Now everything was in perfect harmony
I could feel the true clout of nature
Yes indeed, nature has the full clout
