The Trumpet Poem by Atsu Adaletey

The Trumpet

THE TRUMPET
The trumpet sounds
Sounds louder in the streets
I believe that this is it but I find it difficult to contend with its intents
Cos as loud as it sounds
It is the loudest of all sounds
That which splits my heart into pieces
And that which engages my heart on the field of races

To those humble in the faith
The sound of the trumpet brings joy
To those humble in the faith
It's a day so long expected with joy
To those humble in the faith
It's a great day above yesterday

I know that I am weak for HIM
I know that I'm a hypocrite in HIM
I know that I lack in-depth understanding of HIM
I know that yes, I really don't know HIM
But I also know that I can trust HIM

Know HIM
Call on HIM
Live in HIM
Walk in HIM
Be like HIM

And on that joyous day, that is, if this isn't a dream from HIM,
I will be caught up by HIM
And at last, I can be with HIM
