The Truth And Nothing But Poem by Jan Freundschuh

The Truth And Nothing But

I'm having so much fun
Writing poetry.
I tell it like it is,
Unadorned,
Describe it accurately,
And people think I'm so 'creative',
With such soaring flights of fancy.
What a great Halloween costume,
What a great disguise,
I come in my everyday clothes,
And thought,
And I win the 'most creative' prize
Didn't have too many friends,
I was, I guess, too strange,
But put it in the form of a poem,
And there's nothing but applause
And acclaim!
