The Truth Is What You Make Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

The Truth Is What You Make

The Truth Is What You Make It
Intellectuals are here expert enough
To manipulate facts into the truth
That serves their purpose in their favour.
Since, truth doesn't serve evil motive
Man by nature likes to hear lies.
He feels comfortable to believe
Taking bath in Holy river
Purify heinous crime.
Sacrifice of innocent animals
In the name of worship
He wants to please Almighty.
Lies, sugar coated with truth
Misguiding the whole world.
You are enforced to believe
Things, you donate to priests
That you are going to preserve in heaven
For your ancestors' comfort and peace.
Your culture and tradition are programmed
To make you believe in heavenly bliss
Rather than in worldly pleasure.
No death can compensate life
No matter how eternal it is!
Be practical to live in real world.
Feel tears of joy through
Service to mankind.
Justify the reason of being here.
Ensure a life dedicated
To serving others.
Unless someone comes down
To tell his experience in heaven.
It isn't wise to dream for heaven.
You need to live a meaningful life here
Don't tempt for magical life in heaven.
