The Truth Of Eternity Poem by Gauri Gupta

The Truth Of Eternity

Rating: 5.0

She ran into the night
In search of an answer
She knew she must find
She ran into the woods
Woods, so dark and deep
She ran until she dropped
Dropped, begging Thee

She heard a gentle voice
Laughing uncontrollably
“Listen my child if you must,
The truth of eternity”
Thus spake the Voice
And revealed the mystery
Of the circle of life
And all that is be

“The day must turn to night
And night into day
The river must keep flowing
And find its own way
The wind will never stop
And neither will time
As man returns to Earth
To be one with clay
The leaves will change color
As will a loving heart
The flowers shall wither away
And the lovers will part”

“Such is the circle of life
Where nothing lasts forever
Alas, its only Change
That keeps at its endeavor
The birds, the beasts and Man
Must face its fury alike
As days turn into years
And Change rules their lives”

She began to cry
Distressed by this Change
That will one day ruin her life
As the Voice did say

“Fear not my child”
Again the Voice did speak
“Change is not all cruel
It is kind and tender
It brings not only misery
But hope and joy too”

“The leaves may change color
And the flowers may die
But new buds will blossom
And true love will not lie
The lovers will meet again
And fulfil their destiny
New life shall flourish
And the Change shall be”

Thus spake the Voice
And revealed the mystery
Of the circle of life
And the truth of eternity.

Good concept behind the write...change is the movement of matter in diurnal motion in space relative to constant time...any change that occurs is the end of a beginning and the beginning of an end...a good revelation there in the end...10
