The Ugly Duckeling Poem by Mystykka Mysterious

The Ugly Duckeling

Have you ever had a dream,
Where it obviously seems,
That your love should be with someone else?
He seems oblivious,
To the very first guess,
That he should be,
With someone other,
Because that other,
Would be better for him than me.
He is too good for me.
So how could we ever be?

It came to me in a dream last night,
Where everything was wrong; nothing was right,
And he was with another.
They seemed so happy together.
This infuriated me enough,
To hurt myself by acting tough,
And hitting and punching his face,
Was no good at all in this place.

Have you ever looked at him and compared,
His face to another girl already prepared,
To take him from you,
And everything else, too?
Your place, your face,
Your time, your guy?
For a second you think, 'NO!
I will never let him go! '
But what if she was better for him?
Would you let him go then in the end?

I bet you once said,
'They look like the perfect couple! '
But what made you say that?
Was it opinion; was it fact?
No, it was the look,
Written in the pages of a book,
A book of perfect couples.
Then what next?
The gaping hole doubles.

Look in the mirror,
It only gets worse.
He's so beautiful; so impossibly.
Now look at me.
Next to him, so beautifully,
Is me; the ugly duckeling.
She would look so much better,
In his arms forever,
Instead of me.
The ugly duckeling.
