Escape routes were undesirable
I was stucked on the horns of dilemma
On the coarse edges of a quandary

Alas! halcyon days are lost
Looms large is blacks'holocaust
Why rapacious claims of misfit
The rules literally reads brinkmanship

Off in the arms of morpheus at dawn
I realized that my crown was gone
Hence searching was futile
Who orchestrated this vice?

Amity in the abyss
How did we get to practicing malice
Days of loving and sharing are gone
Our camaraderie and relationship now sour
...

Ambitions of titans melting into deep fury
Power sways towards cockeyed vortex
Hoi polloi stewed in political pretext
Nigeria a hysterical powder keg
...

When light glows off your eyes,
Time grow past your height,
And life shuts out your presence
Would the world feel your absence?
...

His coming heralded hope
And on ascension, he was our heartthrob,
Our king that will lead not by tricks,
But through strings of adept creed
...

You talked us into believing you;
Your words were soothing & mildly cute,
In you we saw an oasis in the desert,
A hero that would raise us honourably;
...

And it happens!
It happened in a way not expected,
At a time when we needed the very best,
And at that moment when the world trusted us
...

Two steps forward
And flight of stairs backwards;
My expectations were devoid of detours
But easy rides without contours.
