The Underground Poem by Snake Blocker

The Underground

Don't ask me to tell you stories.
You don't want to hear mine.
Don't ask me to tell you secrets.
You can't stomach the darkness.
Your adventures pale in comparison.

Don't ask me to apologize.
I've made my peace with God.
My mind never crossed the line to insanity.
My thought patterns were always mentally prepared.
But your habits are too old to change now.

You are not so skilled to face madness.
You are not prepared for the reality of poverty and sickness.
You cannot last the suffering long enough to survive in the shadows.
Fear is something you are not willing to face alone.
There is darkness so strong that it strives in the daylight.

You cannot rely on your personality.
Men will expose your weaknesses.
You cannot rely on your body.
Women will poison and taint it.
Wake up to the truth that the underground is not for you.

You were never invited!
