The Universe Is All Up In Arms Poem by Justin Gildow

The Universe Is All Up In Arms

The universe is all up in arms
And between you and me
I wonder if that's a good thing
And together, I wonder what we could be
And I wonder if the risk is really worth the trouble
This whole thing about love
But if there's one thing I have to say to you, it's this
Don't leave me
Don't leave me trapped in a bubble

I want to fall into the sea
I want you to come with me
We could be falling free
Falling, just you and me
I never knew if this was true or not
But they say that love is shredded and sprayed throughout the galaxy

You and I love the night
Strange how it is
But we do
Just like the daughters of the moon

The universe is all up in arms
And from our perfective
It seems to love that particular feeling
It feels no shame
It has no shame
No shame at all
Just like we feel no shame
Just like we have no shame
No shame at all
It's all blissful
And that's all it needs to be for the time being
