The Universe Within Poem by Caroline Bulleck

The Universe Within

Radiation is my breath
Moving through this vacuum, my lungs.
The stars are my blood
Coursing through veins of light.
It fills the black hole of my heart.
Nurturing the galaxies of neurons
That transmit energy through the dark void.
Supported by bones of gravity
Held by skin of time
My organs, gas and matter, continue all functions.
As my solar systems endlessly orbit, viewing all I was.
All I am.
All I will be.
