Apparently West's been having visions
.....Thus.....the tone of his voice
Suggest a radical incoherency
...."It's all a matter of choice"

Not speaking.....for Kanye...
But before we go off half baked
Maybe there're contextual considerations
....Perhaps....we ought...need make

There was no choice of slave ships
....Nor of plantations to come
Nor centuries....of bondage....
Is that where Kanye's coming from

Or is he referring to the choice
To remain figuratively enslaved
.....Or run....with the freedom
Rather than the occasional rant and rave

Blacks.....taking charge...of the future
Putting our own folks back to work...
....View....West's muddled waters
As some inspirational perk.....

Therefore demand from the system
What the system's long denied
....His is....one sorry-assed effort...
Though to Kanye's credit...he tried

...During that radical incoherency
But before we go off half-baked....

....We ought......need make
