The Untimely Death Of... Poem by Lors Dilouley

The Untimely Death Of...

i read your lies.
they seep through my skin straight into my heart
and make me angry.
why do you use such flowery words when
you scrape away my life with such harsh others?
you surely must know what you do.
killing me surely. but do you?
i can't imagine what you were anymore.
what we once were. together.
helping each other. yes, we were innocent
and gentle once.
but i don't like who you've become,
and i with you.
why do you drag me down when you demand i should soar?
