The Verdict Poem by A Bopp

The Verdict

He sits there silently,
Patiently awaiting the verdict,
“Is he guilty? ”
“Did he do it? ”
Everyone wonders.

“I’m innocent, I’m innocent! ”
He cries to himself,
“Will anyone ever believe me? ”

He’s never been put through
Anything like this before.
It’s a horrific experience,
Worse than any nightmare.

“I’m innocent, I’m innocent! ”
He cries to himself,
Over and Over again.
“Will anyone every believe me? ”
