I've seen some wrestlers strong and brave,
I've seen the things they do,
If you hold gold belts that they crave,
They'll do those things to you.
Keep well away, don't interfere,
Don't dawdle in the ring,
And don't believe all that you hear
For harsh words stab and sting.
Behold a thousand battlefields,
With conflicts far and wide,
When either side gives in or yields,
When pain gets hard to hide.
When wrestlers have both friends and foes
And brothers, too, would fight,
And trade their insults and fist blows,
On any given night.
Submitting is the last thing done,
Once pain begins to scream,
And giving up will end the fun
Of bullies in a dream.
A nightmare fight may prove the best
And yet at such a cost,
Beyond the win, beyond the test,
Beyond the ones who lost.
The winner smiles at his success,
The loser leaves the scene,
The winner shows his happiness,
Though hateful, stern and mean.
I've seen girls fight with hands and feet,
As their opponents fall,
Once wrestling ladies cute and sweet,
No longer beautiful.
Outside the ring, revenge restrains
Like nothing else compared,
I've seen when interference reigns
In title matches aired.
Some call it justice acting so,
Destroying what they can,
As if this helps the ratings grow,
As if part of the plan.
The referees aren't up to much,
Distracted as they are,
For seconds truly out of touch
As bullies hurt each star.
Good guys get thrown from post to post,
With referees aghast,
Then villains pose, as if to boast,
Before they leave at last.
The will to win! That's all they know,
Inside the ring and out,
Submissions, knockouts, blow by blow,
That's what they're all about.
They undermine what crowds came for,
A fair fight seldom seen,
The numbers game can change the score
When baddies intervene.
I've seen impulsive wrestlers fight,
I've screamed, 'Mistake! Mistake! '
I've seen the wrestlers taking flight,
Some land on bones that break.
And as for ring security,
I don't know what to say,
They're hit and miss, that's plain to see
On any given day!

Here's a wrestling sports entertainment poem by Poemhunter poet Denis Martindale. It's entitled 'THE VICIOUS WILL TO WIN! ' because some wrestlers will do anything to win! They will maim, they will end careers, they will smile and smirk at their victims! But these actions aren't extremely rare at all. It's a regular thing, virtually every single week on TV, the Internet and YouTube.
Some wrestlers sabotage the outcomes of championship matches that customers paid a fortune to watch. Wrestling fans may travel from one venue to the next only to see another match ruined by wrestlers obsessed with revenge. The baddies will use championship belts, tables and chairs to destroy anyone who gets in their way.
Even the most beautiful lady wrestlers can go bad, and that, to me, is the saddest part of wrestling sports entertainment across the last 60 years of my life as a wrestling fan.
