The Virtue Of Sharing Poem by Dr John Celes

The Virtue Of Sharing

If you had striven all life to learn
A profession successfully,
Then teach the ones left way behind;
Get contentment definitely.

If you had toiled to learn a craft,
Its nuances and tricks of trade,
Then share the secrets with others,
And serve your brethren all, God-made.

If you had turned your craft to art,
Through forehead sweat and sleepless nights,
Tell others to perfect your style,
And feel the joy when they climb heights.

If you had found an idea new,
That helped to cure diseases seen,
Let others work upon it till,
Better becomes the ailment scene.

If you had spent all life to know
A thing that could help patient’s plight,
Inform the world of healers, peers,
And contribute your mite with might.

If you discovered something strange
That changes ways of seeing things,
Do share the information great,
For betterment of all earthlings.

A selfish person is a waste
To himself, and the human race;
You ought to share your ken with world
And bring back smiles on every face.

If love prevails in things you do,
Then love to share something you know,
And see love grow within your heart,
As perfection comes to your art.
